Maria Fernanda Tondolo

FLAMENCO

Maria Fernanda Tondolo, creator of TEMPO DA, started learning Flamenco since she was 3 years old in Venezuela. Maria went to different well-known academies where she learned everything related to Flamenco and reached the highest level as a student. Also, Tondolo taught Flamenco for 5 years to children and adults. But, the desire to learn more so she can be the best instructor and to get into a higher level takes her to Madrid, Spain, for one year where she gained more knowledge about Flamenco.
Now, she decided to create TEMPO DANCE ACADEMY with the goal of teaching what she loves the most and share everything that she has achieved and learned to everyone in Orlando.
Through TEMPO DA, she will share her knowledge and passion with the companion of other professional dancers.

Montserrat Diaz

Aida Montserrat Diaz, was born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1992, where she began her training as a dancer at the early age of 2, attending the prestigious Dance School “Las Cabales” under the direction of Hilda Prats. This was the place where she discovered her passion, and developed not only the basics but also the foundation of her technique. “Las Cabales” not only trained her to develop into the professional dancer she has become today but mentally prepared her for the art and disciplines of dance. Montserrat has had extensive training in the arts of Flamenco, Classical Spanish dance, and Classical ballet. Montserrat is constantly growing professionally by taking workshops with prestigious Flamenco dancers from Spain, Mexico, and Venezuela. This helps her increase her knowledge, improve technique, and overall dance performance.

While growing up in Mexico, she was part of the “Compañía Nacional de Danza Las Cabales” (2005 – 2014) performing at some of the most well-known theaters in Guadalajara such as “Teatro Degollado” and “Teatro Diana” amongst others. Also, Diaz performed in different cultural events in the City of Guadalajara, such as: The “Fiestas de Octubre of Guadalajara”, “2011 Pan-American games” in the opera “Carmen” with the Philharmonic Orchestra in the Plaza de Toros Nuevo Progreso, and the opening of the Equestrian Games of 2011. From 2013 to 2015, she was part of the dance company “Hispanic Flamenco Ballet” located in Miami Fl. During their “Fall tour” and “Spring Tour”, touring more than 24 States of the country. During this time she performed not only Flamenco, but several other Latin American dances such as: Tango, Mexican-Folklore, Salsa, and Brazilian-Samba. Montserrat has been residing in Orlando FL for the last few years. During this time, she was performing at the upscale Spanish restaurant “Ceviche Tapas and Bar” located in Downtown Orlando. In 2017 She began teaching Flamenco classes for kids and adults. She is currently teaching and performing in various cultural and private events in different cities.

Shana Burns

Shana Snodgrass Burns has been a professional choreographer/dancer/actor and dance teacher in the Central Florida area since 2004, when she moved here from Miami, Florida. Most of the time you can see her performing as an equity dancer ensemble cast member at Disney’s Beauty & the Beast: Live on Stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. She has choreographed multiple shows for Osceola Arts Theatre in Kissimmee. Some of her shows have been Footloose: The Musical, Mary Poppins, Cabaret, Rock of Ages and most recently Disney’s The Little Mermaid. She’s also choreographed for Modern Theatricals performance of “Lost Boy” that is being held at the Dr. Phillips Center of Performing Arts. She also had the privilege of choreographing the Mystic Island:
Hope & Help Gala 2018 for the city of Orlando.

Shana is proficient in Tap, Jazz, Musical Theater, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, Modern and other multiple forms of dance. Shana is a wife and mother of soon-to-be two children. She can’t wait to get back into the classroom and give all of her knowledge to her kids.

Eva Grossi

Eva Maria Grossi was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She started her ballet studies at “Ballet Arte” School, where she had the opportunity to train with some of the greatest instructors of her native country. Grossi had the opportunity to travel to Basel, Switzerland, where she obtained the Merit Diploma of the Vaganova Technique. Upon her return to Venezuela, she graduated from “Ballet Arte” in 1995 and immediately joined the National Ballet of Caracas, Teatro Teresa Careno II company under the artistic direction of Vladimir Issaev, currently artistic director of Arts Ballet Theater of Florida in Miami, Florida. In 1996 Eva started her
professional career touring around the world and performing soloist and principal roles of the company’s repertories such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet among others.

She was fortunate to dance under the direction of Fernando Bujones, dancing Giselle, Ovation, Spartacus, Broadway to Orlando and Cinderella. Eva was part of the dancing cast of Universal Studios from 2011 to 2015 obtaining great experience in contemporary, jazz and modern dance to add to her classical ballet technique. For the last twelve years, Ms. Eva Grossi has been a guest teacher instructing and staging different choreographies for different academies in South Florida, and completed certifications on PBT, Conditioning and flexibility programs.

Hayley Platt

Hayley Platt started dance and gymnastics in Atlanta, Georgia training in ballet, jazz, Irish, and competitive gymnastics. She studied dance and gymnastics at Paris School of Performing Arts and was part of the Drake School of Irish Dance. She has danced in multiple commercials, toured Internationally with Feld Entertainment, and is a USAA State and National Gymnastics Champion (2002-2005). As a professional Actor in Atlanta, she has opened two World Premieres, danced in multiple musicals, and acted and choreographed for the Atlanta Shakespeare Company. Since moving to Orlando, Hayley has been dancing at Universal Studios and Walt Disney World, also works as a freelance dancer, teacher, and choreographer.

Rhema Joy

Rhema Joy versality and passion has lit up the stage and screen. She has performed with Alabama Ballet, Universal Studios in Orlando and Walt Disney World. Rhema has appeared in movies such as “Marvel’s Ant-Man,” “Billy Lynn’s Halftime Walk,” and “Dancing-It’s On.” Recently, she has worked Dancing with the Stars Professional and champion ballroom dancer, Karina Smirnoff; Disney Channel star, Asher Angel; and world-renowned artist, Jason Derulo. Rhema is also an Award – winning choreographer and master teacher with 15 years’ experience in studio, company and competition circuits. Her mission in every class is to bring her love and passion of dance to create movement that builds technique while building the soul. “Art is a mission, not a job. We create in order to show others there is hope and light.”

Paola de Souza

Paola de Souza. I am a certified Yoga Teacher for adults and a Kidding Around Yoga Instructor for children. I am a Psychologist, Art Therapist an artist as well. Originally from Argentina, I speak English and Spanish. I have practiced yoga for several years and decided I wanted to pass on such knowledge to help individuals, family and kids become healthier and happier. I was able to incorporate all my passions into my Yoga classes, making them whole. I would like to see more peaceful and happy people (and of course children) in this world and I am doing all I can towards it. This is my calling. Please join me.

Lorena Romero

My name is Lorena Romero, I was born in Venezuela, I started dancing Flamenco at the age of five in Rosalia Garcia Academy. Then, I was transferred to Las Lizarragas Academy where I danced in popular shows such as “Pasion lizarragas“. I am a shy person, but every time I get on the stage, all my passion comes out and I can express myself. This is what I would like to teach to my students, and that always will be a space where they can shine.
